Quirky and Challenging Festival Hits Utah this Weekend – The Cotopaxi Questival

News
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Utah) The Cotopaxi Questival could have you racing across Salt Lake City, hiking, biking, climbing, doing service, pushing yourself to do things you’ve never done before. The unique festival is all about spending time with your team and doing as much as possible in a 24 hour period or 8 hour period.

Questival Spokesman Michael Thelen describes the April 10th and 11th event this way. “Basically we are going to get you outdoors with your friends and your family completing fun challenges from hiking mountains, doing community service, planting trees – a lot of quirky fun.”

There are 300 challenges available and your team picks the ones they want to do and then you compete against other teams to win prizes. The Cotopaxi Outdoor Gear company donates portions of the sales of it’s products to causes that help others and “eradicate poverty” around the world. One of the Utah based charities benefiting from this is Wholives.org http://wholives.org/wp/

And the Cotopaxi website says the festival is basically a “social adventure race to help people discover their cities, get outdoors, and do some good.”
