Pretrial Hearing for Suspect in Pulaski Co. Realtor Killing

News
LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Jacksonville man accused in the kidnapping-murder of a Pulaski County realtor last year was back in court today for a pretrial hearing.

Arron Lewis, 34, who is representing himself in his upcoming trial, asked the judge for a list of items he said were needed to prepare his case.

Lewis was asking for a co-counsel, access to a laptop computer and his cellphone.

The judge told Lewis he must make the requests in writing and gave him a week to do so.

Lewis was declared fit to stand trial earlier this year after a mental evaluation. He fired his attorney back in March.

Lewis’ estranged wife, Crystal Lowery, 42, is also facing charges of capital murder and kidnapping in the death of Beverly Carter, 50.

The realtor disappeared after telling family she was heading to an appointment to show a home in Scott. Her body was found buried in Cabot five days later.
