KAYSVILLE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) Kaysville Police are warning residents about a possible credit card skimming device found at a gas station in the city.

Police say employees at the 7-Eleven at 385 West 200 North called the department Monday when suspicious wiring was found on pump #9.

The device was found during the employees regular inspection of the pump. All other pumps were checked and nothing suspicious was found.

Kaysville Police Department is working with local FBI authorities to determine what the device is. Police don’t know how long the device was there or if any credit card information was compromised during that time.

Police suggest that anyone who bought fuel with a credit or debit card at this 7-Eleven to monitor their accounts diligently or call their bank to have the account closed and a new one opened.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Kaysville Police Department and speak with Detective Owens at (801) 497-7074.
