SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News)- Utah State Senator Jim Dabakis says he’ll be running for Salt Lake City Mayor.

On Monday, Senator Dabakis released pictures of a new poll conducted by Lighthouse research showing him in the lead of a hypothetical mayoral race.

Tuesday morning during a Facebook live Dabakis said he’s in.

“I’m not running against anybody. I’m running for my vision…for my view of the city,” he said during the Facebook Live.

Senator Dabakis announced in February that he would not seek re-election to the Utah State Senate.
