SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News)- A judge has dismissed the lawsuit filed by Mia Love’s campaign against Salt Lake County Clerk Sherrie Swensen.

“The Love Parties failed to point the court to a single statute, rule or case that would entitle them to any of the relief sought in the Petition,” court documents stated. Click here to read the full court order.

Love’s lawsuit asked Salt Lake County to stop ballot counting so they have the opportunity to analyze and challenge signatures on mail-in ballots.

Love’s attorney Robert Harrington said although they disagree with the outcome, they appreciated the Court’s attention to the issues raised in the Petition and will “continue to closely observe the integrity of this election process.”

Election Day was over a week ago, but the race for the 4th Congressional seat is still too close to call.

On Thursday, a new set of numbers shows Ben McAdams leads incumbent Congresswoman Mia Love by just over 1,000 votes.

This is a developing story. Updates will be posted as they become available.
