Jenny Wilson running for Salt Lake County Mayor

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News)- Former U.S. Senate candidate Jenny Wilson announced her candidacy for Salt Lake County Mayor on Friday.

Current Mayor Ben McAdams will be making a move to Congress in January. The vacancy will be filled by the Salt Lake County Democratic Party Central Committee. Right now that election is expected to happen on February 2, 2019.

This winner of that race will finish McAdams’ term through 2020.

Wilson, who lost to Mitt Romney in the Senate race, made the formal announcement during a press conference Friday morning.
