SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – A bill that sets state standards for the sale of CBD oil has passed the legislature.
Gayle Ruzicka, president of the Utah Eagle Forum stops by Inside Utah Politics to discuss this bill as well as other priorities.
“That is a great bill and a genius idea. People will now be able to purchase CBD oil that is prescribed by a doctor, dosed and then they pick it up at the pharmacy where they take care of the dosage,” said Ruzicka. “This is not a note from the doctor, this is a real prescription that a pharmacy will fill”
Another hot topic during the legislative session was abortion.
“Women should be informed. We have a 72 hour wait bill right now. So they’ll be informed before the 72 hours start. They’ll then have 72 hours to think about it, mull it over and then make their decision,”said Ruzicka.
She also talks about House Bill 205, the Down Syndrome Nondiscrimination Act as well as House Bill 86, Manslaughter Amendments.
