SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney made it official. He will seek the seat being vacated by Utah’s senior Senator Orrin Hatch.
Former Chairman of Romney’s Leadership Political Action Committee Kirk Jowers stops by Inside Utah Politics to discuss Romney’s decision to run.
“He feels a compelling sense of service. He feels indebted to the state of Utah and our country. He tried to serve as president and came very close. So now he feels like he’s got a little left to give and frankly it’s an amazing thing for Utah to get someone of that stature.” Jowers said.
He also speaks about Romney’s campaign strategy moving forward and some of the potential barriers he may face along the way.
