SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Utah) – Police have arrested two people in connection to a murder Friday.

And late Tuesday, Salt Lake City police said they want to talk to 34-year old Jamie Clarissa George in connection to the murder.

The body of Mauricio Martinez was found in a car Friday in Cottonwood Heights.  Police soon learned the murder happened in Salt Lake City

“We know there was a robbery at 1032 South Redwood Roand and this person (Martinez) was murdered at that location and the body was taken to the Cottonwood Heights area,” said Greg Wilking of the Salt Lake City police department.

Arrested were 25 year old Marco Garcia and 35 year old Jorge Castanon-Serrano.  Wilking said he was unaware of the relationship between the suspects and Martinez.  He would not say which of the two was the suspected triggerman but both were booked into jail for aggravated murder.

Wilking said police are not sure if this was a random shooting or if both suspects and victim knew each other.

Monday,  Claudia Martinez, the victim’s mother claimed it may have been drug related.  She said her son had a drug addiction problem and efforts to get him into rehabilitation failed.  She said at one time several men came to the family home looking for her son.

“They said he owed them money,” Martinez said.  “But I told them we don’t have any money and Mauricio isn’t here.”

She also said she last saw him Wednesday and his pickup truck was parked outside their home Thursday.  Martinez said her son never left without his vehicle.  She believes he was forcibly taken and ended up dead.

“My son is no longer suffering,” she told Good 4 Utah. “He is in a better place.”

Meanwhile Wilking said they are interviewing others and more arrests are possible.

One of those can’t be found according to police.  They are seeking the public’s help in attempting to locate George.  She is described as being 5-feet, weighing 120 pounds.  Police said she has hazel eyes, blond hair.  If anyone has information about her contact Salt Lake City Police at (801)799-3000.
