Police forced to end chase after speeds reach 100+ mph


WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- Officers were forced to end a chase after speeds reached in excess of 100 mph Thursday morning.

They say an officer spotted a stolen car at the Overlook Point Apartments at 4612 South 2930 West.

When he tried to pull over the driver he fled.

The pursuit started around 5 a.m. and went in and around West Valley City and Kearns. It eventually ended at 5400 South Northwest Ave.

Police say they do not know the identity of the driver.
