New concern about Great Salt Lake shrinking

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – The Great Salt Lake Advisory Council says bold changes need to be done to slow the Great Salt Lake from shrinking.

According to the Associated Press, a recent report found upstream diversions prevent the lake from replenishing and reducing the Great Salt Lake by half its normal size.

The council says it’s putting the lake’s singular ecosystem in jeopardy.
