Mother of missing teen fears the worst for her son

News
EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – The mother of a missing teenager says she desperately needs the public’s help.

Vicenta Guevara says no one has seen or heard from her son since December 22nd.   That is when 15 year-old Alexander Yashida left his home in Eagle Mountain like he normally does, but this time, he never boarded his school bus.

Instead, Guevara says her son disappeared, leaving behind only a short note to his family that said he was going to ‘go where the land takes him.’

Through an Spanish-to-English translator, Guevara told an interviewer, “I worry he is getting cold or hungry, or that somebody is going to do something to him because he is a boy still.”

Guevara says Alexander did not take any money or winter clothing with him.

Meanwhile, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office continues investigating but so far does not have many clues.

If you know anything about Alexander’s whereabouts, contact police.
