CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK (ABC4 News) – UPDATE: National Park Service officials announced Friday that Jonathon Hogue was found dead. 

Officials did not release any more information surrounding this death. 


National Park Service officials are asking for you to keep an eye out of a missing man in Canyonlands National Park.

Canyonlands National Park officials are looking for 33-year-old Jonathon Hogue.

He’s described as a white man 5’10” tall and 180 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has “Ninja Penguin” tattooed on his bicep.

Officials said he is an individual hiker and backpacker known to travel long distances including venturing off trail and scrambling.

If you were in the area of Green River Overlook at Island in the Sky in Canyonlands National Park between Sunday, March 10 and Thursday, March 14, or if you may have information that could help investigators, please contact them.
