(ABC4) – The Russian weapons company that changed the landscape of warfare with its AK-47 assault rifle has unveiled another deadly and revolutionary weapon.
The KUB-UAV is a miniature exploding drone put on display this week by the Kalashnikov Group at a weapons-of-war show in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, reports the Washington Post.
Just like its predecessor the AK-47, which has been embraced by militants and guerilla armies across the world, the KUB has the potential to level the battle field.
The 4-foot- wide drone can carry six pounds of explosives at a speed of 80 mph. It’s easy to operate, effective, and cheap and can be guided to hit its target from 40 miles away.
