Women Tech Council celebrates Pi Day

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) – Cyndi Tetro of the Women Tech Council joined ABC4’s Nicea DeGering to share more about Pi Day (March 14) and why the day makes the perfect day to help children learn about STEM.

Parents and educators can use a real dessert pie to measure the circumference of the dessert using the Pi formula. Tetro also showed how young students can build small computer circuit kits to make a small PC called a Raspberry Pi.

The Women Tech Council (WTC) is a national organization “focused on the economic impact of women in driving high growth for the technology sector through developing programs that propel the economic pipeline from high school to the C-suite.”

WTC offers mentoring, visibility, opportunities and networking to more than 10,000 women and men working in technology.
