The meerkats at Hogle Zoo have a new home

Exhibit dedicated to James "Jim" E. Hogle

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News)- The meerkats at Hogle Zoo now have their own exhibit.

Meteorologist Devon Lucie visited the zoo on Thursday to take a look.

Erica Hansen, spokesperson for Hogle Zoo, said the exhibit was dedicated to James “Jim” E. Hogle Jr. His grandparents donated the zoo’s 42 acres and Jim has been involved with the zoo his entire life.

Hansen said meerkats are his favorite animal.

The zoo also introduced two young warthogs that just moved into African Savanna.

Hansen said the two brothers came from San Diego and will fit in perfectly with the other animals.
