It’s summertime – and that means it’s rodeo time in Utah. Ogden Pioneer Days kicks off with parades, concerts, and a nationally recognized rodeo. Rick Davis, a member of the organizing committee for Pioneer Days, joined Midday to talk about the rodeo, which this year is being inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. Ogden Pioneer Days is the only rodeo organization or athlete in Utah to be chosen for of this year’s honors, which are reserved for those who have made a lasting and meaningful impact to the western industry and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
Head to www.ogdenpioneerdays.com or Smith’s Tix. Seats are still available for every night, but usually sell out on Pioneer Day. Get your tickets to Monday’s rodeo, come up early and enjoy the Grand Parade in downtown Ogden, spend some time in Ogden Canyon out of the heat, then wrap up your Pioneer Day at Ogden Pioneer Stadium. Tickets range from $15 to $10.
