Midday live at the 2017 Utah State Fair

We are taking the show on the road to bring you some of our favorite highlights of the 2017 Utah State Fair.

Meet the 2017 Miss Utah State Fair and Rodeo Royalty.  Queen, Carly Peercy of South Jordan, First Attendant Jerrica James of Mendon, and Second Attendant Jayna Scadden from Farmington joined us.

Bello Nock is known as the “World’s Greatest Daredevil”.  He has been featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for a high wire walk over a cruise ship.  He’s known for his foot-tall naturally red hair, flashy tuxedo and saddle shoes.

Jared Sherlock is an award-winning illusionist and comic magician.  He’s based in Minneapolis but is performing at the Utah State Fair.  His modern magic is featured at corporate events, colleges and in theaters nationwide.

Since 1998, the butter cow has drawn crowds at the Utah State Fair.  It’s an entire sculpture carved entirely out of butter and is displayed in the fair’s “Creative Arts” Building.

And you can’t go to the fair without sampling some fair food.  We’re talking fried food!  You’ll find it in booths from all different vendors at the fair.

The 162nd annual fair runs through September 17.  Monday, September 11th is ABC4- Family Value Day at the fair! Tickets will be at a discounted rate for everyone 13+. Those 12 and under get in free! If you buy one ride carnival wristband you’ll get the second free.
