How you can help feed 290,000 hungry Utahans

Midday

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah(ABC4 News) The Utah Food Bank has kicked off their 2017 Annual Food Drive, with the hope of giving 290,000 meals to hungry Utahans. They’re kicking it off with 5 gifts of giving, including the Utah Human Race, and a food drive at the University of Utah.

The 5 gifts include:

  • The Utah Human Race
  • Donate Money (Just $5 provides several meals)
  • Volunteer your time with the Utah Food Bank
  • Bring Food to the Food Drive
  • Buy bean soup

This year’s proceeds from the Utah Human Race will go toward the Utah Food Bank’s food drive goal. This year, Gordon has agreed to MATCH the registration proceeds from Hospitals and Clinics budget. This will double the donation of your registration in the race!

It will consist of a 5K or 10K race on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2017, in Draper. If you join the University of Utah Health team online, you’ll receive a special team running shirt with a new design this year. Registration is now available on the University of Utah Health team page.
