Get around, have fun and clean up Utah’s air

Midday

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah) – The University of Utah and Utah Clean Energy are launching U Bike Electric, an electric bicycle purchase program.

It offers U community members the opportunity to buy a variety of makes and models of e-bikes at discounted prices now through May 26, 2018.

Community members are invited to test ride e-bikes on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marriott Library Plaza on the U campus.

Those interested in purchasing one of the bikes after the test ride can sign up online.  Once registered, participants will receive a discount code to take to a participating dealer to purchase their bike.

E-bikes have no emissions, which makes them a great way to improve air quality and health.  It’s a great way to get around campus, and the city on a bike, with the backup power of an electric bike.

There will be additional test rides offered throughout Salt Lake City in April and May.

For more information on all test ride opportunities, visit: electric.utah.edu.
