Energetic pup with huge heart is looking for forever home

Midday

The Utah Valley Animal Rescue team is showcasing a dog whose spirit just cannot be broken.

Rusty’s previous owners dropped him off at the shelter after finding out he would need surgery. Turns out they estimate Rusty had been hit by a car about a year prior.

It was never taken care of and his broken bones healed wrong, but that hasn’t stopped him! He still runs around like crazy and greets everyone he meets with a bark and a kiss.

Eventually, Rusty had the issues with his leg corrected, and now he’s all healed up from surgery and ready for a family to reciprocate his unconditional love.

You can read more about Rusty’s story and find out how you can adopt him here.

Your help is needed

The Utah Valley Animal Rescue has taken in animals evacuated as a result of the Pole Creek and Bald Mountain fires.

The moved around 45 cats and kittens into the rescue area to clear the shelter to provide room for evacuee animals, now they’re running out of wet food and other supplies.
