Don’t forget UTA ski buses stopped running during major schedule changes

Midday

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah) – Starting Sunday April 8, 2018, UTA rail and bus lines will experience across the board schedule changes, this will include the ski busses which officially stopped running for the season.

This is due to the implementation of Positive Train Control (PTC), a federally mandated safety system.  PTC means it will take FrontRunner slightly more time to travel between Provo and Ogden.  And, that will have a ripple effect on the entire UTA system, including buses and TRAX, as well as the S-Line.

Riders should consult new schedules posted on rideuta.com.

UTA riders can now purchase FrontRunner tickets right from their smart phones.

The GoRide app means riders can skip the ticket vending machine.

To purchase FrontRunner tickets on the app, download the app for free from Google Play or Apple.  Go to “Buy Now”, select “FrontRunner” and enter the stations where you will start and end your trip.  Then, simply activate the ticket when you board.

For more information, log on to UTA’s website.
