Recipe for Smokin Bones Pork Butt:
- 3 T Black Pepper
- 3 T Kosher Salt
- 1 T Smoked Paprika
- 4 T Brown Sugar
- 16 Oz of your favorite BBQ Sauce
- 1 Cup Honey
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Can Mountain Dew or your favorite Soda
- 2 T Rub (from above recipe)
Bring to boil on stove top, then add 3 Tablespoons of butter to melt and then remove from heat.
Smoke bone in Pork Butt at 240 Degrees until internal meat temperature is 165 Degrees (Approx 4-6 hours). Remove Pork from smoker and quickly wrap meat leaving one side open to add remaining 1/2 can of mountain dew. Then finish wrapping and return to smoker. Cook until internal temperature is 200-205 degrees and meat probe slides in like butter. Take pork out of cooker, open one side of the tinfoil and let the steam escape until there is no more. Wrap and let rest for 30-60 minutes. Now pull pork into tray, pour some sauce, and mix by hand.
