Better Utah hosts ‘Women In Politics’ panel


SALT LAKE CITY, Utah(ABC4 News) The Alliance for a Better Utah will host a panel this coming Monday, November 13 with a moderated discussion focusing on the involvement of women in politics. Laura Boyer from The Alliance for a Better Utah, joined Nicea Degering to talk about why we need women involved in politics at every level more than ever.

The panel is part of the Impact Hub’s “Women’s Week,” a week of women’s focused programming. For the Women in Politics night, Better Utah has invited panelists who are involved in various aspects of politics to come share their experiences and perspectives. The panel will be followed by a mix-and-mingle with the panelists. Drinks and light refreshments will be served. 

It will be held Monday, November 13, 2017 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Impact Hub Salt Lake (150 South State Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84111). Doors open at 6 P.M.

The panelists include: Karen Kwan, State Representative; Sheryl Allen, former State Representative; Erin Jeminson, Director of Policy, YWCA; Rachel Stone, Analyst, Governor’s Office of Economic Development Moderator; Laura Boyer, Policy and Advocacy Fellow, Alliance for a Better Utah
