Memory bench created in honor of missing Macin Smith

ST. GEORGE (ABC4 News) – A new effort to remember a missing Southern Utah teen.

Macin Smith disappeared nearly three years ago in September 2015.  Now his mother is sharing a few sentiments as the community commemorates her son with a custom bench.

“I’m hoping that those who feel alone will now have something to connect with and that they aren’t alone in their struggles,” said Tracey Bratt Smith, Macin’s mother.

Tracey Smith said the last three or so months Creative Metal FX in Hurricane has been working on a memory bench in honor of Macin.

She said it is giving them something to cherish and love: and a place to sit and ponder life, “chat” with Macin or share his story with someone who may not know it.
