ENOCH, Utah (ABC4 News) – A Utah man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a victim was found with multiple stab wounds on Sunday.
According to charging documents, police were called to a residence on Enoch Road by a woman who said someone was outside screaming for help. At the same time, a man called 911 to report he had been stabbed.
When officers arrived, the victim was covered in blood and had several stab wounds to his body and head. Large amounts of blood were found all over the inside of the house as well as in the carport area outside the house.
The victim told officers he was attacked and stabbed by 28-year-old John Oshley.
Officers responded to Oshley’s house and were invited inside by a roommate. They found Oshley in his bedroom and took him into custody.
During a search of the residence, police found various clothes, towels, a knife, and other items with large amounts of blood on them that had been discarded near the residence.
Blood was also found inside the home and truck. Police believe Oshley drove this vehicle to and from the home where the victim was stabbed.
Oshley would not talk to officers. He was booked into the Iron County jail on first-degree felony aggravated attempted murder and first-degree felony aggravated burglary.
The victim is expected to survive.
