Logan Police Warn About ‘Sextortion’

Proposed bill would open door to suing pornographers_64692640
LOGAN, Utah (ABC4 Utah) Logan Police Department is warning Utahns about a scam that is costing residents thousands of dollars.
Police say it happens when a person is contacted by someone on a social media or dating website. The stranger offers to engage in sexual behavior via a web or phone camera. The victim is then talked into engaging in similar sexual behavior. The victim is then told their sexual behavior was recorded and will be posted on social media for family and friends to see. The stranger will then offer to withhold the footage if the victim is willing to pay money.

Logan police are asking you to share this information with your family and friends to help get the word out.
