DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) – A water advisory or ‘boil notice’ has been issued for both Syracuse and Clinton City until further notice. DO NOT DRINK the tap water without boiling first until the city gives the all clear.

Officials say the water tested positive for E-coli and Coliform.

The sample was taken in the area of 700 South and 2500 West in Syracuse and 800 North and 1000 West in Clinton.

Both cities’ Public Works Departments says they are working diligently to investigate, discover, and isolate the source of contamination.

Due to the possibility of residual contamination throughout the system, they issued a water advisory or “Boil Notice”  until further notice.

Once the water has been determined to be safe, the cities will issue another notice for residents to flush their home water systems as indicated in the attached instructions from the Health Department.

Syracuse has set up an after hours hotline at (801) 643-5775 for any questions. During normal business hours (Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm), you may call (801) 825-7253 to contact the city.
