HEBER, Utah (News4Utah)- A wrestler on the Utah Valley University team has been suspended after rape allegations.

According to the police report, 22-year-old Dayton Racer is accused of raping a woman during the Bonanza Campout music festival this summer.

The victim told police she was at the festival with some friends and they were hanging out in Racer’s tent. The victim said she and Racer drank alcohol and took some “Molly” but she “stated that she had told him multiple times she was not there for anything sexual, just to have fun,” the police report stated.

The next thing the victim remembered is waking up to Racer raping her the next morning, police records state.

Racer was charged with rape on Monday. He has been summoned to appear in court on November 7th.

Officials at the university confirm Racer has been suspended from the wrestling team.

“We are aware of the allegations, but can’t comment on a pending investigation,” a statement from the UVU said.
