Worker successfully rescued after construction accident

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) –A construction worker was safely extricated by Salt Lake City Fire Department crews after an accident Monday. 

It happened near 1402 South 1400 East. 

Fire officials said the worker was injured when concrete and dirt fell onto him. He was rescued thanks to Salt Lake City Fire Department Heavy Rescue 5.

The worker suffered injuries to his shoulder and lower extremities.

The extent of the worker’s injuries were not provided at this time.
