SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 Utah) – Women called the event fulfilling and refreshing. Saturday marked the first session of six in the 187th General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The speakers focused of themes of love and self-worth. Tamu Smith said she felt the messages were very needed, “Sometimes we don’t realize that we have value, that we can do that, we just have to reach out to our other brothers and sisters to make the work lighter.”
Zandra Branes said their was only one improvement she would have made, “The only downside I would say is that at a real Relief Society event, we always have refreshments. Always.”
The conference will continue through next Sunday.
