Woman with numerous mail theft convictions caught stealing package, again

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A 46-year-old woman with an extensive criminal history of mail theft was arrested after police say she was caught stealing an Amazon package from an apartment on Saturday.

Arresting documents show Lilia Larue Gallyot was identified by a woman who said Gallyot entered a building at 243 South 300 East and stole an Amazon package from one of the apartments.

The woman said Gallyot then entered her apartment with the package in her possession while she was inside. She said Gallyot began rummaging through the kitchen and living room before leaving the apartment. 

The victim followed Gallyot as she continued walking through the apartment building, arresting document state. As Gallyot walked out of the building, the victim called the police.

When police arrived the located Gallyot who still had the package in her possession. 

Gallyot’s background shows multiple arrests and charges for possession of drugs, theft, criminal trespassing, burglary, mail theft, public intoxication, giving false information to police and several other types of crimes. 

Her felony record dates back to 2007 with multiple felony charges of unlawful possession of a transaction card. Since then there are over 22 felony cases, each with multiple counts of various charges and over 31 misdemeanor cases.
