ST. GEORGE (News4Utah)- A woman is behind bars after police say she stole a car from a Wendy’s parking lot over the weekend because the voices in her head told her to.
Police were able to track down the woman, Jessica Spencer, using a cell phone left inside the vehicle.
When officers confronted Spencer she told them she’d heard voices in her head telling her to take the car and find her daughter.
Officer Lona Trombley says that daughter was not missing or endangered.
Spencer is facing a second-degree felony theft charge in the case.
