Woman killed in crash after car went ‘airborne’ and landed on its hood

BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A woman is dead after going “airborne” in a Box Elder crash Monday morning.

Sgt. Nick Street with the Utah Highway Patrol says the vehicle was traveling west on 1100 South around 11 a.m.

The driver crossed over into the northbound onramp then went airborne into the gore area.

The vehicle landed on its top and the impact killed the single driver, Sgt. Street says.

The driver was transported to Brigham Hospital by ambulance. 

She has been identified as 29-year-old Sammi Jo Revilla-Fernandez.
