DELTA, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – A 27-year-old woman is dead after an ATV crash in Delta.

Millard County Sheriff’s deputies say the ATV drifted off the right side of the road and the driver over-corrected. The vehicle rolled and both occupants were thrown from the vehicle.

The driver, Lara Anderson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger Caren Anderson, 67, (Lara’s step-mother) was taken to the hospital with serious condition.

After Lara’s mother died of cancer when she was 7, her father remarried bringing her total number of brothers and sisters to 14. One of her brothers, Todd, describes her as “not just the light of her large family, but of Delta.”

Lara worked at the local car wash washing towels, cleaning bays, and smiled at everyone she met.

“She will be greatly missed, but her family takes comfort that she has been reunited with her Mom,” Todd said in a message with ABC4 Utah.

The investigation into the circumstance of the crash is ongoing.
