Woman hit by garbage truck while crossing intersection

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC4 News) – A woman has been transported to the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a garbage truck Wednesday morning.

Officials with the Unified Police Department say the woman was crossing the street at 4610 South Redwood Road when she was hit by a Salt Lake Community College garbage truck.

Officials say the woman is around 50-years-old and was hit straight on. Her family has been notified.

Further details and the future condition of the women hit are unknown at this time. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
