Wife of Latter-day Saints Apostle dies

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- The wife of one of the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints died on Monday.

According to Church officials, Barbara Bowen Ballard, wife of President M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, died at her home surrounded by family. She was 86 years old.

President M. Russell Ballard leaves the October 2010 general conference with his wife, Barbara, who passed away October 1, 2018.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018, at noon at the Monument Park Stake Center, 1320 S. Wasatch Dr., Salt Lake City. A public viewing will be held Sunday evening October 7, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the same location.
