What to do if you see a wrong-way driver

Local News

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah) – After two head-on collisions in a week involving drunk drivers, UHP wants to make sure people know what to do if they are in a similar situation.

Two drivers got onto I-15 via an northbound exit ramp driving southbound and both caused massive crashes. In both incidents, both wrong-way drivers were drunk, and there were no deaths.

UHP Trooper Matt Mills says, “If you do see headlights, as quickly as you safely can, get over to the right lane and stop and that’s when we would ask people to call 911.”
