Westminster inaugurates 19th President, Bethami Dobkin

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Westminster College welcomes new President Bethami Dobkin, Saturday morning.

President Dobkin is the 19th President of the College and the 2nd female President in school history.

Dobkin jfkldsa’fjkldsafFor the past ten years Dobkin served as provost and Vice President for academic affairs at Saint Mary’s college in California.

“I am honored to serve as the next leader of this impressive institution. The college inspires exploration and creativity, bringing out the best of students both in and out of the classroom,” Dr. Dobkin said. “In a world becoming increasingly divided, Westminster offers an education that can build connections and bring people together to help solve today’s most pressing human problems. I look forward to working with the Westminster community to provide students with an inclusive and supportive education, one that challenges students to create, innovate and lead with passion and integrity.” Dobkin says.

Utah Governor Gary Herbert will welcome President Dobkin to the community. The inauguration ceremony featured an academic procession of Westminster faculty, deans and trustees.
