West Wendover man dies after Eastern Utah shooting on tribal land

UPDATE: Monday officials at the FBI confirmed the victim has died.
He has been identified as 24-year-old Julio Rodriguez from West Wendover, Nev.
 

 

RANDLETT, Uintah County (News4Utah) -Authorities have arrested a man wanted in connection to a shooting Thursday just east of Randlett on tribal land. 
 
According to Sandra Baker, Public Affairs Specialist Federal Bureau of Investigations, they arrested Brandon Redfoot, 22, on tribal charges following a shooting that occurred around 7:45 p.m. Thursday outside a residence east of Randlett, on the Uintah & Ouray Indian Reservation. 
 
The victim was flown to a hospital, his condition is currently not known. 
 
The FBI, along with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office are currently  investigating the incident.
