West Valley police investigating armed robbery at 7- Eleven

Local News

WEST VALLEY, Utah (News4Utah) –  The West Valley Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a 7-eleven early Thursday morning.

It happened at the 7-Eleven located on 4807 West 3500 South where police say, two men walked in armed with two black handguns around 4:30 a.m.

Both suspects had their handguns pointed at one of the clerks inside the store, police say.

Sgt. Robert Brinton said one of the clerks called 911 and spoke to dispatchers while one of the robbers still had a gun pointed at her.

When police arrived, the suspects had already fled from the scene, police say. None of the clerks inside were injured according to police.

Witnesses told police that the two men had left the scene in a red passenger car heading west of the building, officials say.

The suspects were able to get away with cigarettes, beer and an unknown amount of cash, Sgt. Brinton said.

The two suspects are described as black men in their late teens or early 20s.

Police are looking at surveillance now for more clues to help find the suspects according to authorities.

We will provide more details as it becomes available.
