West Valley Mexican restaurant closed for over 30 health code violations

WEST VALLEY CITY (News4Utah)- Los Molcajetes in West Valley was closed by the health department Thursday for 34 health code violations.

The restaurant is located at 4031 West 4100 South.

The health department said the person in charge was not well versed in proper food safety practices.

Several cooked and cold items were held at unsafe temperatures, and much of the restaurant was dirty or damaged, according to the report.

One of the most upsetting violations: Spilled chicken blood in the reach-in freezer.
