WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4 News)- Several schools were placed on shelter-in-place Wednesday as police investigated reports of shots fired.

Police say the incident was reported near 7000 South 4800 West.

As a precaution, officials with the Granite School District placed Jim Bridger Elementary, Pleasant Green Elementary, Magna Elementary and Cyprus High on shelter-in-place, but the protocol was lifted around 12:30 p.m.

Police say they haven’t found a crime scene or any shell casings.
