West Jordan man arrested for rape of two teen girls

Local News

WEST JORDAN, Utah (News4Utah) – A West Jordan man has been arrested for rape of a child after police say he sexually abused two teenage girls.

In arresting documents, one of the teens told police she and another juvenile had performed sexual acts with Jorge Gonzalez, 50. The girl said they had ran away from home and were staying with Gonzalez.

One of the victims disclosed there were multiple sexual acts occurring at the residence while they were staying there. Gonzalez girlfriend was interviewed by detectives and also confirmed there were sexual acts occurring at the residence that involved the girlfriend and the two teens.

The girlfriend told detectives Gonzalez threatened to hurt her and have someone hurt her if she told anyone about what was going on.

Detectives stated that Gonzalez was first investigated in July and one of the teens appears to be ‘brain washed’ that the relationship with Gonzalez is normal even though he is 50 and she is 15. She calls Gonzalez dad and says the man is like a father to her. They fear If Gonzalez is released from jail the relationship is likely to continue.

Gonzalez was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on two counts of rape of a child, object rape of a child, lewdness of a child and retaliation of a witness.
