West Jordan City warns public of recent phone scams

Local News

WEST JORDAN (ABC4 News) – West Jordan City’s Customer Service Department is warning the community after receiving a number of calls from people reporting that the city has called them and then the calls have dropped.

The department says sometimes the caller asks for money and says the water service will be disconnected if payment is not received over the phone immediately.

The department says this is a scam because the city does not solicit payments over the phone and their customer service representatives seldom call customers.

The department urges you not to make a payment over the phone to anyone who calls you unsolicited.

If you have questions, you can call the Customer Service Department at 801-569-5000 and press 1 to be connected to Customer Service.
