OGDEN, Utah (ABC4 News) — Students at Weber State University showcased a week of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

On Monday, the Weber State University Student Association coordinated a “Freedom Breakfast and March” where students marched from the Marshall White Center to the Ogden Amphitheater, then performed a service project following the march. Event sponsors included the NAACP Ogden Branch and several diversity clubs and organizations a part of the University.

“The NAACP is excited to continue our long-standing partnership with Weber State University to commemorate the life, legacy, and principles promoted by Dr. King,” said Betty Sawyer, President of the Ogden branch/chapter of the NAACP and Black Scholars United advisor for Weber State.
