Warning signs posted after harmful algae detected at Deer Creek Reservoir

WASATCH COUNTY (News4Utah) – The Wasatch County Health Department posted warning signs at parts of Deer Creek Reservoir due to the harmful algae.

The signs were posted at the Island Resort and Rainbow bay areas where algae accumulated along the shoreline.

The health department says the rest of the water appears to be safe at this time.

So far, there have been no reports of any illnesses. The algae appear as a layer of green film on the water.

If you see it, do not touch it.
