Warm weather forces Midway Ice Castles to close

MIDWAY (News4Utah)- Those wishing to see the beautiful ice structures that make up the Midway Ice Castles better hurry. Officials announced they will be closing Super Bowl Sunday.

“It’s been a warm winter, which has made it difficult to sustain the ice,” said Ice Castles CEO Ryan Davis.

Organizers say they will be offering extended hours over the weekend. The attraction will remain open until midnight Friday and Saturday.

The Ice Castles opened on Dec. 29t. This is there seventh season in Midway.
