Vietnamese Community of Utah prepares to host Banh Mi Festival

Sneak peek of the Banh Mi Festival

TAYLORSVILLE (News4Utah) – The Vietnamese Community of Utah will be hosting the first Banh Mi Festival Saturday.

“Banh Mi” means sandwich in Vietnamese, but the event will offer various other Vietnamese dishes throughout the day.

The beginning of the festival will honor and recognize Vietnam War veterans. Ethnic performances including Jambo African Drummers, Korean K-POP, Vietnamese folklore, and modern dances will be featured throughout the day.

Organizers will have 20 free activities on-site for the entire family such the table tennis tournament, raffle tickets, and a fashion show.

The Banh Mi festival will take place Saturday, August 18th from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 1769 W. Carriage Square in Taylorsville.

Proceeds from the event will go towards funding for the Vietnamese Community of Utah.
