PARK CITY (ABC4 News) Park City-area residents are known to have their fair share of brushes with wildlife due to the city’s location in the mountains.
Molly Jackson and her family have had several visits from a moose that frequents her neighborhood.
The moose, apparently named “Musty,” is very docile and readily accepts apples, carrots, and other snacks right from their front door.
Jackson shared a video on Instagram of a recent encounter with the large animal complete with entertaining commentary: “Gonna have to factor in moose food into our New Year’s budget,” she can be heard saying in the video.
For the record, Utah wildlife officials say you should never approach or feed a moose.
Jackson knows about the potential danger. In the caption of her video, she said she knows it was foolish and unsafe, but she also describes the encounter as “magical.”
Be sure to watch the video for a good laugh.
